One of the best ways to connect with others is to serve alongside of them in ministry.
Here are just a few of the many opportunities to serve in worship at St. Paul:
Caring for the sacraments and the linens for communion. Altar Guild is responsible for preparing the communion trays and wafers for each communion service (members serve on a rotational schedule). Also checking supplies and alerting the church office to supply needs. Please contact the church office @ firstname.lastname@example.org or 734-665-9117 if you are interested in serving on the Altar Guild.
- Ushers & Greeters (Liberty Campus) – Ushers are volunteers that assist the congregation during worship. They are responsible for handing out bulletins, distributing the offering plates and dismissing the congregation for Holy Communion. Download the current Usher Schedule here. Greeters are stationed at each of the worship entrances and greet members and guests as they arrive for worship and as they leave. They also hand out the monthly newsletter to our members and guests.
- Family Worship Teams & Greeters (Earhart Campus) – All ages welcome! This involves greeting/handing out bulletins at the door, lighting/extinguishing the candles, taking offering, and ushering for Holy Communion on Communion Sundays. Anyone can help, we simply ask that adults please accompany their younger children who may need assistance. Contact Julie Burgess (email@example.com) to get involved.
- Worship Set Up/Take Down Volunteers (Earhart Campus) – We need able bodied individuals/families who can help set up our worship space in the school gym on Sunday mornings. This takes a handful of adults (kids sure can help, but we need at least 4 adults) to set up chairs before worship and take them down after. Families/individuals serve on “teams” that handle set up/take down on one Sunday per month. If you are able to serve please contact the church office @ firstname.lastname@example.org or 734-665-9117.
Choir & Special Music
Would you like to use your God-given gifts of music for the purpose of enhancing our weekend worship and praise to glory of God? St. Paul has two adult choirs (both campuses) as well as a Handbell Choir, Brass Ensemble and numerous other instrumentalists who regularly lead and enhance our worship. We would love to have you involved! For information on the various music ministries please contact Dr. Tom Strode at email@example.com.
St. Paul is always in need of individuals with a passion for technology to help with recording our services and monitoring the audio/visual equipment. Both of our campuses are looking for individuals willing to serve on a rotational basis. Please contact Ken Bachman (Liberty Campus) and Steve Perrault (Earhart Campus) or the church office at 734-665-9117, firstname.lastname@example.org.
